Continuing the UNLOCKED discussion on addressing implementation gaps in disaster management in Sri Lanka, Verite research calls for drastic changes to the way the Disaster Management Act No. 15 of 2015 has been implemented by diving into the establishment of the National Council of Disaster Management (NCDM) and their role in emergency response and countering disasters as they arise. Using the Right to Information Act they were able to uncover and analyze the effectiveness and administration of the NCDM.
